This past Saturday we went over to the Bakker's to enjoy some "Sweet Baby Niels Ribs", hang out with our good friends and visit and watch and cheer on our Seattle FC Sounders. It was a wonderful evening... Q&C were able to see their Auntie Helen, Uncle Niels, Matt & Andrea, along with Ellie, Dutchy, Marley and Kya (aka the dog gang). The soccer match was intense with lots of screaming (even though Andrea fell asleep!) :) as we lost 2-0 against the Chivas. We'll get them next time!

PEAS!
Okay, so we tried the whole rice cereal thing and as one of the previous post explains it was a success, kinda. Yesterday we decided that they were ready for actual solids and we introduced the twinnies to PEAS!!! They did pretty good, but Carter got a little annoyed towards the end and really wanted his bottle. I want to try my best to make all their food, but I already broke yesterday afternoon after spending about 1/2 an hour to make the pea mush Q&C had earlier in the morning... Shane bought some organic peas already pureed. Here's to the next day and the next day...
Carter and his new BFF
The Exersaucer, what a funny concept... Shane and I LOVE it and so does Carter, it's his new BFF! Quinn cheers her brother on by crying... ;)

Easter and The Ranch
Last weekend was the first time the twinnies made it to the "Ranch"aka Pot Holes. Shane's parent's, Tom (Grandpa) and Wendy (Glamma) have a place over there and it is a wonderful place for family to get together and visit, soak up the sun (usually), relax and eat good food. Well Q&C not only had their first of many visits to come at the Ranch, but it was also Easter and although they are not on the move yet, can't hold a conversation and don't understand where they are or that it was Easter, they had a wonderful time! Quinn was still sick with a cold and mild fever, but she was a trooper and enjoyed herself as best she could. While Carter really came out of his shell; he is so dang chatty and loves to be around everyone while laughing, smiling and singing songs. We look forward to many, many, many more memories at the Ranch...

Two Babies and a Cold
Okay, so everyone keeps telling me that it's impossible to avoid colds, flus, ear infections and the like when you have kids and boy are they RIGHT! Quinn started her lovely cold on Sunday and is now this snotty, coughing, sick smelling baby who gets very, and I mean very, mad at Mom & Dad when we break out the booger catcher. She has now passed on this ick to her brother who is starting to get a nose full of boogers, and I just have to add that boogers are strange! This is Quinn's second cold since she has been here in our wold of the living and Carter's third and they are only 5 months! So, for those of you that see us on a regular basis, be prepared for snot, coughing and straight ick... and if we keep asking for tissues, we apologize in advance. At least the sun is shinning today and we aren't couped up in the house. Til next time...

Spoon?
Yesterday was a big day at the Gannon home... Q&C were introduced to a spoon and rice cereal. Quinn wasn't sure at first and wanted her thumb instead, but she finally figured it out and was really into it. Carter on the other hand was not having it and wanted his bottle ASAP! We'll try again next time with him and see how it goes... Notice that Carter is missing in action in one of the pics, as he is with Mom and bottle.
