Christmas breakfast... yummy! Waffle, refried beans mixed with olive oil (yes, I said refried beans), maple syrup, parsley, hot coppa, muenster cheese and a fried egg

It came and it went, like it always does... we started out with the four of us, then Aunt Nannie came over for some breakfast and Christmas cheer, then we headed over to Mom and Dad's (Grandma and Grandpa) house to celebrate with family. The twinnies had fun and were very good; Quinn got two baby dolls and Carter got a remote control Jet... thank you Grandma and Grandpa! Jace LOVED his Bat Man gifts and everyone had a wonderful time. Until next year... Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve 2009

For the past few years now, we have been going to Gary and Carol Jarr's house to visit with them, Bry and Amber and all their friends that stop by. This year was particularly special to us as it is the first Christmas Eve without lovable Gary. We had a wonderful time, ate good food, had yummy drinks and enjoyed seeing Carol in her beautifully decorated festive home where there is still so much love, laughter and stories to share. The twinnies had a great time as well and loved opening there gift from Bry and Amber as well as getting into all of Christmas decorations (Carol thanks for pulling out the snow globes!). Here's to you Gary... we miss you dearly.

Carter and Ellie girl

Carter just adores Ellie... he follows her around the house, "pets" her and gives her plenty of kisses.

New Traditions

With the twinnies starting to comprehend the holiday season (to an extent), we are starting new traditions. Friday we got our small tree that is behind the "fence" so the twinnies may enjoy, but not touch, eat or break. :) We also started a tradition with Glamma and Grandpa Gannon of visiting Santa in downtown Seattle. We look forward to building more and more memories with the coming seasons and holidays.

Did you say ONE!?

Dad opening gifts up for Q&C

Grandpa G and Grandpa S

Carter got right down to business... Quinn wasn't quite sure...

W-O-W! That pretty much sums it up... Q&C turned one last week and we celebrated their big one with family and friends. It was an amazing shin-dig and the twinnies were troppers and kicked it with all of us adults staring and singing at them while all of our cameras were going off. I can't even describe how insane, incredible, emotional, proud and well, unbelievable it is that we all (that means everyone) made it through the first year. I love seeing my little ones grow and change everyday, from eating REAL food, to taking their first step to starting to discover this big world we live in and to just become their own little person. We love Q&C!

To a GREAT first season... GO SOUNDERS!

Me and the "bugs"

Well, the first official MLS season has come to an end for our Seattle Sounders and I must say that it is wonderful to have been a part of it. We gathered at the Bakker's for the play-off game against Houston and all had a good time, except for the losing part. Here's to the 2010 season...

Brother and Sister

Quinn and Carter are obviously very aware of each other, but they are definitely 'two peas in pod'. Where ever Quinn goes, Carter goes... if Carter is crying Quinn chimes in... Here they are checking out each other's coats - love it!

The Dragon, Cat and Pumpkin

The Bakker's came over this morning for my b-day breakfast (yummy crepes Niels... thank you!) and since Q&C and Camden didn't get to hang for Halloween last night, we got the kids dressed up for some photos. Cater is the dragon, Camden is the Pumpkin and Quinn is the Cat. Carter didn't really move in the outfit, Camden was pretty much done with the pumpkin gig and Quinn was very intrigued with Camden's costume. It was fun!!!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween we went over to the Watson's to visit Alice the bumble bee, Erin (Mom) the Lady in Pink and Craig (Dad)! Erin's sister, niece and friend were there too and all were dressed for the occasion, minus me, Shane and Craig. We let the kids hang out while the parents ate a yummy Halloween feast prepared by Erin and here sister, while sipping on some spooky dark and stormy beverages. We then got the kids all dressed (Quinn was Sylvester the Cat and Carter was a dragon) and hit the streets...

Clean Beans!

The twinnies have now graduated to taking baths in the 'big' kid tub. Quinn loves splashing and chewing on the toys, while Carter is still on the fence.

A typical weekend at home...

We love the weekends; we get to "sleep in" (7 am, baby!), hang out in our pj's all morning, laugh, sing and just be a family. Q&C are still taking 2 naps a day, but in between they are all over the place exploring their home surroundings. These are pictures of them enjoying life.
